BVE Resolution Changer - New life for BVE.
As well known, actual versions of BVE suffer some limitations about the resolution they can run. In particular BVE 2 has a fixed 640x400 resolution, while, with BVE 4, greater resolutions are possible only at full screen.
Using this utility built by Reschanger for both BVE 2 and BVE 4, it's possible to exceed these limits, according only on the ability of your hardware.

This version allows, other then set your preferred screen resolution, also to choose the way in which the cab is resized, as well the use of custom cabs built for specific resolutions.
Moreover the utility comes with a custom BVE launcher allowing to use whichever installed train with whichever installed route, independently from that one set into the route file.

BVE 4 Resolution Changer ver. 1.0.0.15 for BVE 4.2.1947.25355
This version allows, beyond the choice of custom resolutions in window mode, also additional settings at full screen and, new in this version, the possibility to avoid the unexpected apparition of objects in distance.

For both the versions, available in the Various section of BVEMania download area, several languages are selectable (English, Italian, German, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese). The source code of the program in Visual C is supplied as well.

New BVE 4 Santhia Arona line by Luca Revello
This is a new route under construction by Luca Revello: it is a single track line opened during 1905 to connect Western Piemonte to Lago Maggiore lake.
Since today it's possible to download from BVEMania's Download area, Route section, its initial stretch about 5 km long from Santhià to Carisio stations.
At a first sight it could appear a simple extension of Santhià-Biella line, but a skilled eye will certainly notice enancements about signalling system and scenery rendering, denoting the professional rise of our BVE route builder.

BLS2 passenger view by Giancarlo Barenco: new BVE 4 train available on BVEMania.
Giancarlo from Liestal in Switzerland, a well known author of MS Train Simulator addons, has recently undertook also BVE works.
His first one is a "passenger view" from a BLS (Bern-Lötschberg-Simplon Bahn) restaurant coach. On the opposite of the usual driver cabviews, we have here only minimal commands (Z-A-Q keys) and we can enjoy, as a normal passenger, to look at running panorama outside of the windows (expecially if the train is used in a well detailed scenery).
