This upgrade patch will only work with Route_Riter v6.2.55
or later which will be upgraded to v6.2.92

INSTALLATION
------------
1. Unzip this archive into a temporary folder and READ this file.

2. DELETE THE FOLDER TSUTIL from your existing Route_Riter folder.

3. Copy the new TSUTIL folder and the files Route_Riter.exe,
TK.MSTS.Tokens.dll and .tlb into your existing Route_Riter folder.
Copy the new Lang..txt files into your Route_Riter folder.
   Copy Electric.txt, steam.txt, diesel1 and 2 to the Route_Riter folder.

4. If you have not updated since 1st August, Run the batch file
'InitTokens.bat' which should be in your Route_Riter folder.

BRAND NEW IN THIS UPDATE
------------------------
1. New version of TsUtils, nothing new implemented from within Route-
Riter, but read the file TsUtil_en.txt for details of new command
'SHFTDYN' to shift dynamic track definitions in the local tsection.dat
file to their correct position. DO NOT TRY THIS ONE JUST TO SEE WHAT
IT DOES... For advanced users only.
2. I have added a new set of options for users of PI Engineerings
Rail-Driver controller for MSTS. They are mainly of interest to Raildriver
users, however the ability to change the registry path for MSTS should
also allow you to install Activities into routes other than those in the
Registered MSTS path, e.g. to mini-routes
   These are:-
a. Read the Original Registry Path - This shows you where MSTS was installed
originally, and saves this path in a Route-Riter registry setting
b. Change the MSTS Registry Path - Allows you to change the registry path
to point to wherever you wish to use RailDriver, e.g. a mini-route
c. Reads the current MSTS registry path
d. Revert to Original MSTS Registry settings, resets the registry to it's
   original settings.
3. I have also added 4 buttons to modify .ENG files automatically so that they
will run with Raildriver, the original .eng files are kept but renamed with
an .ENX suffix. To use these, select the .eng file(s) in the left hand file
window and click the appropriate button:-
a. Modify Electric
b. Modify Steam
c. Modify Diesel
d. Modify Diesel with gears (e.g. Kiha)
Success of these modifications does depend somewhat on the layout of the .eng
files, so it is possible some will not work depending on how the original author
has laid them out. However this is a lot easier than manually editing every .eng
   to run under Raildriver.
If you select the wrong button, e.g. Electric instead of Steam no modification is
made, however although I have tested these settings, they still need to be
checked by a lot of users, so use at your own risk and please advise of any
   problems, suggestions etc.

RECENT ADDITIONS TO ROUTE-RITER
-------------------------------
v6.2.73 includes a new option to Activate/Deactivate Routes in MSTS.
This works similarly to the program 'Routes on/off' but works on systems
with multiple installations of MSTS. Deactivating a route simply renames
the route's .trk file (e.g. Europe1.trk to Europe1.off). Reactivating it
turns the route back on. This makes MSTS load much faster. Using this option
will also show which routes are on/off, and for users of Train-Store this
will indicate which are probably in store (but will not unstore them
for you).

Also included is an option to Fix .CVF Files, first run Conbuilder to
Test Locomotive files with the CabView box ticked. This will tell you how
many faulty CabView entries there are. Then run RR and click the Fix .CVF
files button. Once this completes, try Conbuilder again and see the difference
In my case this dropped from 214 to 18.

There is also an option on the Edit Unicode screen to automatically alias
Sound and Cabviews - Suggest you download the latest RR help file for further
details.

New to this version are:-
a) Activities/Stock - new button 'List Stock for Selected Consists'
Self explanatory, select consist(s) and click this button and you will
get a list of all the stock required for the consists selected. (Click the
remove duplicates button so that just one of each item is listed). List
may be printed or saved.
b) MSTS file Utils - The Zero Error Bias has been altered to 'Normalise
.T ErrorBias' - This button changes the Terrain Error Bias entries in the selected
route to the value you enter in the Box. The value in the .trk file is now changed
as well, I missed this in the earlier version.
c) Compact Route and Delete Raw now give you the option to either Delete or Move
unwanted files. If you choose Move, the files are placed in a folder named
   RRBackups within the route concerned.
d) Remove Animation entries from selected .S files - See the new help file under
Filtered Files - This option removes unnecessary animation entries from rolling
stock built using TSM. This program leaves animation entries in wagons which do
not need them (MSTS handles the rotation of wheels). These extra animation
entries can cause problems when coupling/shunting wagons.

Those of you who did not get v6.2.64 will have missed the following instructions
for setting up Hard-Links

Route-Riter - Setting up Common Shapes/Textures for MSTS
--------------------------------------------------------

The 'Holy-Grail' of MSTS users has always been to have a 'Global Folder'
for Shapes and Textures. Up to now, this has always been considered
virtually impossible to achieve.

However following some work done by 'Mdanie' on uktrainsim.com and
suggestions from other users, it has been discovered that at least for
users who use Windows XP with the NTFS file system that this is possible.

XP includes a command 'Fsutil Hardlink Create file-A file-B' this in effect
places a directory link for file-A pointing to the position of file-B on the
hard-drive. Deleting either A or B has no effect on the other, the file
is only removed from the drive when both A and B are deleted. These files
appear in Windows Explorer with exactly the same entries as before, so folder
size etc remains the same. The difference is in the free space on the drive.

In my case, I had two versions of the London South-East route on my E: drive
one in my main MSTS installation, one as a mini-route. The saving by using
a common folder was 740 mb for a single route.

In RR v6.2.64, I have implemented this to some extent using a new tab 'Link
Shapes/Textures' - The procedure is as follows:-

a) Set up a Common Folder (use the button 'Set up Common Files' under Misc
Options) - You may if you wish then click the Copy Default Files to Common
so that all the default files are now in the common folder.
Note: The Common folder MUST be on the same hard-drive as your MSTS folder,
usually in your Routes folder. The hard-drive MUST run under XP with the NFTS
file system.
b) Select the Common folder from the Files menu (once you do this once, it
is saved for future use and should not need to be selected again).
c) For any route you wish to use this option with, you should now copy the
Shapes/Textures/Terrtex/Envfiles/Sound folders into the Common folder (use
the 'Copy Route Files to Common Folder' button).
d) Select the Route as usual by clicking the Confirm Route button
e) Click the 'Link all Files to Common Files' button and the hard links are set up.
f) Check your hard-drive free space before/after.

Note: In some cases, files in the Common folder might have the same name but
be different to the one used by a particular route. A crc check is made, and
if different, then the file is not replaced by a hardlink.

The above is somewhat experimental, so I would only suggest experimenting
with routes which you have backups for in the early stages.

In v6.2.64, I have added two further buttons:-

a. 'List Hard Links in Common Files' shows you a list of all the files in the
Common files folder and how many links each file has. A reading of '1' link
means that the file is not linked to any route, so may be removed to reduce space
There is a button on this screen which will delete all unlinked files.

b. 'List Linked Files in Selected Route' shows which files in the route
are linked (once again, those showing 1 link are unlinked - the single link
is the link from the file name to the file on the hard-drive).
